This year, MPS will be relocating to the former cricket pavilion at Kowhai Park, Feilding, and we are very excited to have a new home in the park! During the year, MPS runs a number of workshops and events.

The club recently purchased a raku kiln and our committee members have been busy testing it out, and creating some exciting pieces.  We look forward to holding firings in the very near future with club members and the public.

Beautiful raku pieces.

We also hold a variety of workshops.  The recent workshop on moulds, held by master potter, Bruce Walford, was an exciting day of plaster and slip, where participants learned the ins and outs of mould making and pouring from Bruce.

Bruce, showing us how it’s done!

A great turnout for the moulds workshop
We also recently reached a milestone 50th anniversary, which was celebrated during our annual exhibition at the Feilding Arts and District Society.

There was a wonderful turnout at the opening night, and a selection of works on display are captured here.
